Part 6

I completed my studies and straight away I joined the business world . The same business my brother was doing I decided to continue with the same due I had little knowledge about it and where to fetch the products.

Starting knowing a coin is easy but to multiply the coin becomes the tricky part of it. Keep in mind from school straight I had no capital for the business what was there was little grains and empty sacks for doing shopping.

I began by selling what was available and making the shop open for awareness. I learnt the patience process from my mother. So I appreciated the scenario of selling nothing on the table but I ensured opening and closing time hours were observed well to create shop awareness. This phrase was so motivating, ” better the shop open daily with no products than that operation hours are unknown with products.”

It was my daily routine to go on market at Tuesday’s and Friday’s to purchase the new stock with the sales I had collected. Mostly I was dealing with vegetable and cereals. Thanks so much to the entire community which appreciated my efforts and supported me fully.

After six months of operations the business picked well and I felt is will be wise to boost my capital. I had my account at equity bank which I was using to deposit the little profit money I got from the sales . I visited the bank several times but I was told still I need to run the account for several months. I decided to take different angle and associate my sister.

At that time my sisters first born, second and third were married. So I had associate the second sister due I had that closeness with her and her husband. Within a short time of 2- 3 months I got a phone call from my bro in law we meet in town. After end of the call , I just said” the deal is ripe.”

We meet, had a long conversation on how to spend the cash and way forward.I took it to be personal growth 📈.What we didn’t discuss is repayment issues. I was fresh on business deals so I took issues easy.

Capital for business boost is available kshs. 20,000 it was a big boost that time year 2004.

to be continued……
