Part 4

Boarding school

I joined Kenyatta high school in 2000. At that time the principle of the school was Mr. John Mwawaza. I started my studies well and life outside home began. Now I knew I have grown ,when I began to spend a week without seeing my parent or sisters and brothers.

Here I was lucky to make good friends who we shared much and supportive during trouble. I can mention a few Johnston kilangi who was In from 2 , Maghanga who’s now a pastor that time he was form 3 and games captain and he used to play volleyball and I was the volleyball team doctor, Philip kaula from kinango we were same class currently a teacher, Gift Mndamu now OCS in kitui Kenya same class and we came from same town but different village.I had great friends.

Something happend and coated much on me while I was in form 2 class. I was in a geography lesson class when teacher on duty came and excused Madam Mbaya our geography teacher, then madam told me to accompany the teacher on duty Mr . Kamau then he was also the games master. With no hesitation I left my books on the desk and followed him slowly at the back. But I noticed the teacher was not in a hurry and looked like he wanted to tell me something. I moved fast close to the teacher to show discipline and get a word before we reach at the office but he turn to me and asked, which is your dorm? Meaning house block. I told him Ndovu and we turned towards the dormitory. When we got there he told me, look your cupboard, keep your belongings well and asked with a low tone, do you have a bag you need to carry going home? There I was shocked and my body became cold immediately. I just said no.

He turned and said come we are going home together. I had no idea what’s going on so I had to follow his instructions. While we were about to reach the staff room I saw my village person who we used to refer him as Mr. Mwambusa. He was a great man from ex- military. Immediately we were at the office the teacher finalised by saying, you will accompany this Man I hope you know him I said yes.

The journey to home began like that without any discussion why he came for me but Iam feeling there is something wrong . There was no mobile phones to communicate home . While in school we had to call from the call box centre those day’s.

We were lucky we got the matatu within a short time and we arrived in Voi town in less than an hour. In the matatu we sitted different sits so we didn’t have chance to discuss why he came for me which is unusual.

We alighted and I instructed Mr. Mwambusa by saying, I want to go to my mum’s working place before going anywhere, his face changed and showed shock
