kenya has lost a leader

Farewell Message to Raila Amolo Odinga
Today, Kenya bows its head in grief and gratitude as we bid farewell to one of the greatest sons of our land the Right Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga. His passing marks the end of an era, but his legacy will live on in every heart that cherishes justice, democracy, and unity.

Raila was not just a politician; he was a symbol of resilience, courage, and the enduring fight for freedom. From the dark days of oppression to the bright dawns of reform, he stood tall often alone but never defeated. His dream for a fair and prosperous Kenya inspired generations to believe that change, though delayed, is always possible through persistence and sacrifice.

He taught us that leadership is not about power, but about service. He showed us that the voice of the people can never be silenced, and that unity is the strongest weapon against division. Through every struggle from the call for multiparty democracy to the vision of national reconciliation  Raila’s heart beat for Kenya. His tireless efforts towards constitutional reform, devolution, and equality reshaped our nation’s destiny.

Though he may no longer walk among us, his footsteps will forever echo in the corridors of our history. The bridges he built between communities, the courage he showed in adversity, and the hope he planted in millions will never fade. Kenya will continue to harvest the fruits of his lifelong labour for justice and inclusivity.

As we lay him to rest, let us not mourn with despair, but with pride and purpose. Let us honour his life by keeping alive the values he stood for peace, fairness, and love for our motherland.

Rest in eternal peace, Baba. You have run your race with honour, fought your battles with dignity, and left a nation forever changed. Your light will continue to guide Kenya for generations to come.

R.I..P Baba
