I ensured everything was in order on Friday before I closed the doors. I was expecting Mwaniki on Saturday morning for inspection of the store and shop room preparations. At mid night I received a call from Mwaniki informing me that I take two guest rooms he is about to arrive in town. I hurriedly made the arrangements in town and luckily I managed to get Oasis guest . I wondered why two rooms, I choose to wait at one of the rooms so that when they arrive I would leave them to have rest.

It didn’t took long Mwaniki arrived with only a small bag and newspaper. He quickly dashed to the room washing area for bathing, it was almost two o’clock in the morning. I just took my time on the waiting reception reading the newspaper. He completed bathing then told he is taking rest for 2 hours then we have a discussion. Where is your room? I was surprised by Mwaniki question but I deliberately I said other side “Mheshimiwa” this was our usual name meaning sir.

I went for rest also, in the room I took time with the magazine reading. Newspapers have interesting updates requires ample time for one to get the information right. I noticed most important is on first page of the magazine and the current news which are political news. Other’s like obituaries are last page which most readers don’t read.

I had a knock on the door, moved slowly and opened he was Mwaniki, We had a small conversation on the day activities and we went together for breakfast before we parted. I was to wait for the share of his products on the set shop room and we had to communicate on phone.

It was at noon when Mwaniki rang to confirm if I was at the shop so that the first bunch could be realized. When I confirmed within a short time I saw a lorry far distance with off loaders arriving. We off loaded the boxes, basins, bags and sufurias, they were many assorted house hold items. I choose to keep all the products in the store so that during shop display I can properly record the available and easy to make pricing. The pricing was easy because the products I was the one purchased. There was no new products since I was terminated from work in Mwandoki enterprise.

Now we have the products, we required shop name which after much discussion we concluded by New vision stores Voi. Saturday program ended well and Mwaniki travelled back to Nairobi he had some meetings on Monday. And on Sunday we had no activity to undertake been church day and family time usually most business closed.
