Part 17

The business was doing well and I felt well to open a new outlet to boost daily sales. My brother in law had a friend with good location for business so I requested him to make time and discuss with the premise owner.

It did not take much time before we began the new shop . My sister assisted in looking for staff . We got a lady this time. I did the shop stocking, pricing and ensured all was well with the business.

After one year, I decided to open a bar joint where people can enjoy after busy day where I stocked alcoholic drinks and refreshments drinks. It was a nice joint and business was doing well. Here I had employed 2 peoples. Now I can proudly say I really helped the government in creating employment.

Due to my desire to continue with my education I decided to visit my near by college to find out what they offered. Luckily, it was pioneering the business studies department. I was so happy when I learned that so I took the catalog and presented them to my mother to show her my interest to studies.

I think my mother discussed with my sister whose husband we were doing the business with because same month my inlaw brought a man to assist in the business running. Now I got shocked because I didn’t understand how we were doing the operations. Who is the business owner? became a question.

I needed to go for studies and this lead me to forgo one which is business. All the efforts, capital I putted and ideas. My life changed dramatically and I became student. My mother and sister had special discussion with one of my sister to support my learning.

At the college I was pursuing Diploma in business Administration. The course was to take grace period of 3 years. It was a growing institution so we had challenges of teachers and classrooms. What I learned from these institution was learn to respect people you never know where you will meet again. Let me tell you , the principal of the institution Mr John Mwawaza was my headteacher at high school when I was at Kenyatta high school and the dean of students and my communication subject teacher Mr. Owen Mbaya was my English teacher at Kenyatta high school from form one to form three class and he is currently an Mp in kilifi county in kenya.

First year I was full time in studies. Year two is where I suddenly found myself landing in business but different level now manager of the business.

Next part I will explain how I became the manager.keep on reading and share the story.
