Part 1

History

The author is a Male (Shuma Elias) was born in 4th April 1985 in Coast province, Taita Taveta county , Voi sub county. The child was delivered in Moi hospital which is in the Taita Taveta county.

We are eight (8) in the family that’s five (5) girls and three (3) boys brought up with a single parent mother. I am the last born in the family.

Childhood

I grew up in a small village know us Mwakingali “A “some refer it us men’s village. I was lucky at that time there were several age mates in the area so it was a playful and joyful moments every time . Some of the friends were Mwakio , Albert, Tom, Anthony, Mwadime, Sophy, Grace, Emily just to mention a few.

Education

I was privileged to attend nursery school which was sponsored by Catholic church in Mwakingali “B” now this was referred as women village. My teacher was a lady , short slim size madam Grace. I was just lucky due every morning I had to a company my sister’s when going to school so safety was assured. At the evening one of my sister will pick me from the school.

Later joined primary school in the same village called Mwakingali primary school where my sister’s and brother’s were that time. As I join the standard one . I was placed in class one green, they were being named by colour red, green and blue. My teacher that time was Mrs Mwasi. Very caring teacher. Mrs Mwasi had her own children in the school and one we were at the same class chrispin . Was cool boy in the class too. Big up chrispin Mwasi. He had two beautiful sisters twins .
